Watch four memorable moments from Vanderbilt’s 38-24 win over NC State in the 2012 Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.

1. The Champs: The Commodores celebrated their best season in almost a century by singing the school’s alma mater and accepting the Music City Bowl trophy in front of 55,801 fans at LP Field. VIDEO

2. Twice As Nice:
For the second time this season, wide receiver Chris Boyd earned top honors on ESPN SportsCenter’s Play of the Day segment. Boyd’s amazing one-handed touchdown grab in the corner of the end zone was initially ruled incomplete, but officials reversed the call to give the Commodores their first points of the game. Boyd also vaulted to ESPN’s No. 1 spot for his acrobatic touchdown catch against Tennessee on Nov. 17. VIDEO

3. Hug It Out:
During the Music City Bowl’s postgame press conference, a long-time Vanderbilt supporter thanked James Franklin for changing the culture of the program. Franklin responded, “I want you to know how much we appreciate you for sticking with us, because you’re due for this.” The head coach immediately got out of his chair and embraced the fan in front of the packed room. 4. Not Going Anywhere:
Also in the media session, Franklin promised that Vanderbilt’s nine-win season is just the beginning. “We’re not going anywhere, so everybody better get used to it. This is the brand new Vanderbilt.” VIDEO
