Vandy Golfers Finish 8th at Tournament of Champions

KNOXVILLE – Vanderbilt’s men’s golf team finished in eighth position at the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions Tuesday.

The Commodores had a 54-hole score of 868, 16-over par and 15 shots behind first place Tennessee.

Two Commodore individuals finished high on the leader board.

Sophomore Luke List shot even-par 71 while freshman Brett Lange had a two-under 69 to finish in a tie for third place at three-under par. Aron Price of Georgia Southern shot his third straight 69 Tuesday to finish at 207, six-under par.

“Our team showed some grit in the second round yesterday,” said Coach Press McPhaul, “but we didn’t play well today. We are a better team than this and we have to get busy. We’ll get back to work and things will start to jell.”
