Vandy Collects More Wins at ITA All-American

Two Commodores advance to final round of pre-qualifying Sunday

TULSA, Okla. – Both Nathan Cox and Michael Ross won their first match Sunday as play continued for Vanderbilt men’s tennis in the pre-qualifying draw at the ITA All-American Championship at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The former won in three sets for the third time in two days to move on to the final round of pre-qualifying, where he dropped a yet another three-set decision. The latter required a tiebreaker in the third set of his first match of the day before falling to the eighth seed in the bracket.

Jeremie Casabon also picked up a victory for the Dores in a consolation match.

Action in the qualifying round will begin for Vandy when Joubert Klopper plays his first match of the event at 11:30 a.m. CT, with Ross and Troost scheduled for their first doubles match at 1 p.m.
