NASHVILLE — The Vanderbilt track team doesn’t have a meet this weekend, but the team’s indoor facility will still be buzzing with activity.

The Commodores’ indoor complex will be the host for 600 high school track and field athletes on Saturday during the second annual High School Invitational, hosted by Knoxville Youth Athletics and Nashville Youth Athletics.

The one-day event, which will feature athletes from 18 states, begins Saturday morning at 8 a.m., and tickets will be available at the door. For full meet info, including complete schedule, click HERE.

Saturday morning’s lineup will feature 10 athletes who are currently ranked in the Top 10 nationally. The track events will begin at noon, and several more of the country’s elite prep athletes will be competing.

“KYA is thrilled to bring such a fantastic meet to such a fantastic facility like Vanderbilt in such a running-friendly community like Nashville,” said meet director Marty Sonnenfeldt.
