Vanderbilt-Stony Brook post game notes

Game Notes:
-With the 79-72 overtime win over Stony Brook, Vanderbilt moves to 3-0 on the season.
-The Commodores are now 1-0 in overtime games in 2015-16 and move to 32-22 all-time in overtime games at Memorial Gym.
-Head Coach Kevin Stallings now owns a 439-269 overall record and 316-206 record at VU.
-Thursday’s game was the first between the two programs.
-Vanderbilt Starters: Fisher Davis, Roberson, LaChance, Cressler and Jones. It was the first time the Commodores have used that starting lineup this year.
-VU trailed 34-30 going into the second half and 62-56 with 4:11 to play in regulation. Vanderbilt ended the game on a 10-4 run to send the game to overtime, and the Commodores outscored Stony Brook, 13-6, in the overtime period.
-Stony Brooks’ Rayshaun McGrew and Ahmad Walker fouled out in the game.

Team Notes:
-Four Commodores scored doubles figures for Vanderbilt: Baldwin (21), LaChance (13), Jones (13) and Fisher Davis (11).
-Vanderbilt shot 44.6% from the floor, 27.8% from the three and 69.6% from the charity stripe.
-The Sea Wolves shot 45.5% from the field and 23.5% from behind-the-arc.
-Stony Brook had 15 turnovers to Vanderbilt’s 6, and outrebounded the Commodores, 43 to 34.

Player Notes:
-Junior transfer Nolan Cressler’s started his first game for the black and gold.
-Matthew Fisher Davis hit the first three of the night, extending Vanderbilt’s three-point streak to 934 consecutive games.
-Wade Baldwin IV led the `Dores with a career-high 21 points, seven field goals made, and 12 field goal attempts.
-Riley LaChance had three season-highs in the game in points (13), field goals made (5) and field goal attempts (8). He also played a season-high 38 minutes.

-Baldwin surpassed his season-highs in rebounds (six) and steals (two).

-Matthew Fisher-Davis scored a season-high 11 points and tallied a season-best FG attempts

-Damian Jones scored a season-high 13 points.

-Luke Kornet had a season-high 13 FG attempts in 29 minutes of action.
