FAN CODE OF CONDUCT

Commodore fans are widely known for their enthusiasm, team support, hospitality and sportsmanship. Our image is shaped not only by our student-athletes, coaches, students and faculty, but by our fans as well. Our goal is to create a first-class environment to lend support to our team while maintaining a safe and fun atmosphere for visiting fans as well.

Prohibited Behavior
Rowdy, threatening, or inconsiderate behavior such as standing in the aisles, portals or concourses, profane and abusive language, smoking in public areas, fighting, and drunkenness will not be tolerated and can result in ejection, arrest, and/or loss of season ticket privileges. Throwing of any objects in the stands, including paper and plastic cups will also be prohibited. Should you observe any of this disruptive behavior, please notify your nearest law enforcement officer.

In all sports, access to the competition area shall be limited to participating student-athletes, coaches, officials, support personnel and properly-credentialed individuals at all times. For the safety of participants and spectators alike, at no time before, during or after a contest shall spectators be permitted to enter the competition area.

Enforcement
Individuals found violating any policies can be removed from the stadium. Non-students are subject to arrest and prosecution under applicable laws and state statutes.

Students involved in such activities or other disruptive behavior will also be subject to disciplinary action. Students enjoy the rights and privileges that accrue to membership in a university community and are subject to the responsibilities which accompany that membership.

HEAT-RELATED ILLNESS GUIDE

In Tennessee, particularly in August and September, development of heat related problems are a common occurrence during football games at FirstBank Stadium. A high heat index increases the body temperature leading to significant sweating and fluid loss. Unless fluids are appropriately replaced, heat-related illness may occur. Fans with cardiac, respiratory or gastrointestinal problems are at higher risk for heat illness. Heat problems can usually be prevented by:
– Applying sunscreen 15-30 SPF
– Wearing a hat
– Wearing light, loose fitting clothes
– Drinking plenty of water or sports drinks such as Gatorade or Powerade
– Limiting alcohol intake

If you become hot, sweaty, fatigued and thirsty, you should get out of the sun immediately and begin to replenish your fluids. If these symptoms continue or you develop dizziness or muscle cramps, you should go to an aid station for further evaluation and treatment.

Other medical problems may occur during a game. Should you become ill and feel the need for medical attention during a game, Event Staff or Security Personnel can direct you to find the nearest aid station or they can summon Emergency Medical Personnel if you are too sick to be moved. If you have significant medical problems, please bring a list of your medications with you to the game in case you have to be seen in our aid stations.
