First Half Notes:

  • The Commodores trailed early, 2-0, but a three by John Jenkins put the Commodores up for good. After leading 9-5, VU went on a 12-2 run to push its lead to 21-7.
  • Vanderbilt shot 68.0% in the first half from the floor, their best first-half percentage of the year, and their best half of shooting so far this season.
  • Jenkins led Vanderbilt with 11 first-half points.
  • Vanderbilt outrebounded Monmouth, 19-8, including 7-3 on the offensive glass. VU outscored the Hawks, 7-3, in second-chance points.

  • Kevin Stallings is now 363-212 in his career, and 240-149 with the Commodores.
  • Vanderbilt now leads the all-time series with Oregon State, 1-0.
  • John Jenkins makes a three with 18:50 to go in first half to extend Vanderbilt’s consecutive game streak with a three pointer to 802. The Commodores, UNLV, and Princeton are the only three schools to make a three-pointer in every game since the 3-point line’s inception in the 1986-87 season.

  • Career highs for Josh Henderson in points (10), field goals made (4), and rebounds (5).
  • Career high points (10) and field goals made (4) for Dai-Jon Parker.
  • Taylor tied his career high with five assists on the night. He set the career mark earlier this year against North Carolina State.
  • Lance Goulbourne grabbed 10 boards, his first double-digit rebound game of the season, and the fourth of his career.
  • Sophomore point guard Kyle Fuller notched a season-best four assists.
