Starting Lineup
– Vanderbilt started freshman Jasmine Lister, sophomore Elan Brown, and senior Jence Rhoads at guard while sophomore Tiffany Clarke and senior Hannah Tuomi started at forward.
– This is the 11th different starting lineup the Commodores have used this year
– Lister and Tuomi are the only players to start all 32 games this season.
– Tuomi made her team-leading 115th career start while Rhoads made her team-leading 130th appearance.
– Brown appeared in her 63rd game, making her 13th start, while Clarke made her 66th appearance and 32nd start.
– This is Brown’s first start since cracking the starting lineup in the first two games of the season.

Postgame Notes:
– Vanderbilt had won at least one NCAA Tournament game the last 11 seasons.
– Vanderbilt now holds an 8-4 record against the Louisville Cardinals and a 1-1 mark when playing at a neutral site.
– The Commodores fall to 1-1 when playing the Cardinals in the postseason.
– Louisville’s 60.0% (30-for-50) shooting from the field marked the highest percentage of the season for an opponent, topping the previous high of 56.3% (27-for-48) set by Denver on December 5.

Tiffany Clarke made a jump shot at the 19:23 mark to record Vanderbilt’s first points of the game.
Stephanie Holzer notched two points at the 13:59 mark to record the first bench points of the game.
– Trailing 13-11 with 12:32 remaining, Gabby Smith hit a jumper to tie the game up.
Tiffany Clarke made a layup with 2:51 remaining to cut Louisville’s lead to 33-26.
Gabby Smith led the team with eight points while Jence Rhoads and Tiffany Clarke had a team-leading two rebounds.

Elan Brown had a career-high five assists, topping her previous best of four.
Gabby Smith recorded her third double-digit point game of the season and first since scoring 10 against Duquesne on December 19.

– Smith’s two 3-point field goals were the most she has had since making two against Alabama on January 13.
