– Vanderbilt won the toss and deferred with Georgia Tech electing to receive and defend the north end zone.
– Attendance was 41,916.
– Vanderbilt captains for the game were Oren Burks, Ralph Webb and Ryan White.
– The Commodores met Georgia Tech on the gridiron for the first time since 2009 and first time in Atlanta since 2002.

Individual Notes
Caleb Scott caught his first pass of the season in the first quarter, snagging a 13-yard pass to pick up a first down on the Dores’ first drive.
Kalija Lipscomb set a career-best with three catches for 25 yards and a touchdown in the first half.
Kyle Shurmur went 6-for-7 for 52 yards with a 16-yard TD pass to Kalija Lipscomb on the Dores’ opening drive of the game.
LaDarius Wiley made a career-high six tackles in the first half.
Kyle Shurmur completed a career-best 17 passes going 17-for-26 for a season-high 149 yards.
Kalija Lipscomb set new career-bests with six catches for 59 yards.
Taurean Ferguson picked off his first pass of the year with an interception in the end zone in the second half.
