So here you go… four clips from Vanderbilt’s exciting 10-inning win over South Carolina Thursday, including a new #V60 of Conrad Gregor’s walk-off single and Tim Corbin’s speech to the team, a postgame report on how freshman reliever Carson Fulmer fueled the victory, some dugout shenanigans with Philip Pfeifer and Drew Fann, and footage of the Commodores arriving at the Hoover Met.

Let’s do this.

1. V60: Hoover Heroics. With the bases loaded and one out in a tie game in the bottom of the 10th, Conrad Gregor attacked the first offering from South Carolina’s Tyler Webb, a slider off the plate, and slapped it to right side to knock in the game-winning run. Gregor’s hit means the Commodores get another day in Hoover and a rematch against Texas A&M Friday night.

“I just wanted to be really aggressive and ready for that first stirke. I put a good swing on it and it found a hole,” Gregor said of his single.” Watch a highlight of the play and an exclusive clip of Corbin’s postgame speech moments after the victory. VIDEO

2. VU Report: Fulmer Finishes Strong. The maturation of Carson Fulmer is a sight to see. The freshman reliever threw 71 pitches in a career-long outing of 4 1/3 innings to stymie South Carolina’s bats and keep the Commodores alive. Fulmer got out of pressure situations multiple times, only allowing one run and three hits while striking out five of the 17 batters he faced.

Corbin planned to stick with the hard-throwing righty as long as he could, even if the game extended beyond the 10th. “You just could feel it,” Corbin noted. “(Fulmer) had the momentum and wanted the baseball. He was fresh, 70 pitches in, he was still fresh.”

After the win, Corbin called Fulmer an “old soul,” saying he pitches well beyond his years. “I just wanted to get out there, throw a bunch of strikes, and let us take control of the game,” Fulmer added. VIDEO

3. VandyBoys Videobomb Tyler Beede’s TV Interview.
Leave it to Philip Pfeifer and Drew Fann to provide additional (unpaid) entertainment to SportSouth’s broadcast. The duo videobombed the television commentators’ on-air interview with Tyler Beede, never losing vision of the lens no matter how much the camera operator tried to shake them. VIDEO
