NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Three members of the Vanderbilt men’s tennis program went undefeated to open play at the Commodore Invitational Friday at the Currey Tennis Center.
The duo of Michael Ross and Nathan Cox teamed up for a 9-7 decision in the Green draw in doubles action, with the former claiming a three-set victory in the Pete Sampras draw in singles and the latter earning a 6-0, 6-1 win in Andre Agassi draw play. Marcus Ferreira picked up a straight-sets victory in the Arthur Ashe draw in singles play after pairing with Joubert Klopper for an 8-4 win in the Green doubles draw.
Siim Troost was also victorious singles, rallying after dropping the first set to post a 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 win in the Agassi bracket.
