NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt’s track and field team will use a split squad this weekend as some head south to Atlanta to compete in the Yellow Jacket Invitational while other Commodores will travel to the Golden State to compete in the Stanford Invitational. Both of the meets will get underway Friday (Mar. 27) morning and will conclude after a full day of events on Saturday.

The majority of Vanderbilt’s sprinters and field athletes will compete at the Yellow Jacket Invite while the distance squad will travel west.

It marks the second consecutive season that Vanderbilt’s distance runners have competed at the Stanford Invite. The Commodores look to pick up where they left off in Palo Alto last season as they nearly every distance runner recorded a personal best time, led by sophomore Rita Jorgensen’s 1500-meter personal record time of 4:27.40.
