NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Track and field season officially begins at Vanderbilt this weekend as the Commodores host their annual Vanderbilt Invitational to start the 2020 campaign.
A finalized schedule and heat sheets will be posted before the event.
Seventeen men’s teams and 18 women’s teams, including five programs ranked in the top 25, will join the Commodores at the season-opening meet inside Vanderbilt’s Multipurpose Facility on Friday and Saturday. Events are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
General admission tickets are available at the facility for $5. Doors will open at 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.
Spectators can park in the 25th Avenue Garage (levels 9-11) prior to 6 p.m. and then in Lot No. 75 off of Natchez Trace after 6 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, spectators can use Lot No. 75 located across Natchez Trace from Vanderbilt’s outdoor track venue.
