LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Vanderbilt track team finished their final day of the Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
It was another day of falling records for the Commodores as senior Mallory Hitt, sophomores Alexa Rogers and Louise Hannallah, and freshman Kristen Findley all had personal bests in their respective events.
“We’re happy with the progress (we’ve made) and look forward to our upcoming meets,” distances coach Steven Keith noted.
Rogers had the highest finish of the day for the Commodores, finishing ninth in the 3,000 meter run with a personal best run of 10:02.32.
“We seem to be finding our stride,” said head coach D’Andre Hill. “We are looking at some solid training over the next couple of weeks as we head in Iowa, and then the conference meet!”
Hannallah ran her best mile run of her career at 5:00.94, finishing 14th.
Findley had a steady day for the Commodores, running a personal best in the 800 meter run (2:20.69), good enough for 14th place, and finishing 17th in the mile run (5:09.66).
Hitt ran the 60 meter hurdles preliminaries at a 9.49 clip, good for 26th.
The Commodores have next weekend off before heading to the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa, and the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
