Track completes first day of Razorback Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Vanderbilt women’s track team had a strong start on the first day of the Razorback Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas.

The Commodores’ first day was highlighted by senior Mallory Hitt’s podium finish in the high jump. The Baton Rouge, La. native jumped 5’3¾”, which is her highest jump of the season. Hitt finished seventh overall in the pentathlon with 3,095 points.

Vanderbilt’s 200-meter sprinters also competed on Friday, with sophomore Anna Carr leading the Commodores with a time of 25.51, finishing 28th. Fellow sophomore Teegan Hill followed Carr with a time of 25.74, good for 37th and junior Taylor Jackson was right behind with a time of 25.96, rounding out the Commodore effort with a 45th place finish.
