AUSTIN, Texas – Vanderbilt’s relay team of Taylor Jackson, Teegan Hill, Anna Carr and Jordan White posted VU’s top finish of the day with a ninth place finish in the sprint medley relay to lead the Commodores Friday at the 82nd Clyde Little Texas Relays. The Commodore sprint medley team posted a top-10 time of 4:03.88 in their first real competition of the outdoor season.
VU’s 4×100 meter relay team of Jackson, Hill, Carr and Josalyn White recorded a 47.25 in the preliminary round, placing 28th out of 40 relay teams.
The Commodores only had one individual performance Friday as Anna Carr competed in the open 100-meter dash. The former Florida prep all-state sprinter recorded a time of 12.44 in her first collegiate outdoor 100.
Vanderbilt has been hampered with cooperating weather the last couple of weeks and has been limited to practice and competition time. Last week Vanderbilt traveled south to Atlanta for the Yellow Jacket Invitational before the meet was cancelled by tournament officials due to large amounts of rain in the Atlanta area.
