• The Commodores return to Southeastern Conference action this Saturday by hosting nationally-ranked Missouri on campus. The Commodores are seeking their first win of the season in conference play. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT in Vanderbilt Stadium.

• The Commodores and Tigers played rarely prior to Missouri’s joining the SEC in 2012. The Commodores are 3-7-1 all-time against the Tigers, with Vanderbilt’s most recent win coming in 2015. The Commodores are looking for their second victory over the Tigers in Nashville.

• The Commodores will be seeking their sixth homecoming victory in the last decade when they play Missouri. Since World War II, Vanderbilt is 29-40-3 in homecoming encounters.

• Ke’Shawn Vaughn (R-Sr., RB) entered Vanderbilt’s all-time top 10 rushing list in just 18 games. Vaughn used a 140-yard rushing performance against UNLV, his third 100-rushing effort of the season, to move into 10th place. He has compiled 1,851 rushing yards as a Commodore and is just 352 yards shy of moving into the program’s top five.

• The UNLV performance marked Vaughn’s third game this season with at least 100 rushing yards. He now has eight 100-yard rushing performances, which is tied for fourth all-time with Frank Mordica (1976-79) among Commodore backs. Vaughn made just his 18th appearance in a Vanderbilt uniform against UNLV. Of Vaughn’s 102 carries this season, 19 have resulted in gains of at least 10 yards. He has seven rushes of 20+ yards.

Thirteen student-athletes have earned their first collegiate starts this season: BJ Anderson (R-Fr., CB), Daveion Davis (Fr., DT), Dan Dawkins (R-Fr., OG), Brendon Harris (R-Fr., safety), Randall Haynie (R-So., CB), Kenny Hebert (R-Jr., OLB), Dashaun Jerkins (R-Fr., safety), Cam Johnson (R-Fr., WR), Sean McMoore (R-Jr., C), Grant Miller (R-So., C), Harrison Smith (R-Fr., punter), Tyler Steen (R-Fr., OT) and Jonathan Stewart (R-So., OT). Three others were first-time starters in a Vanderbilt uniform: Riley Neal (Gr., QB), Cam Watkins (Gr., CB) and DC Williams, (Jr., CB).

• Vanderbilt’s defensive starters against UNLV included four juniors, three sophomores, three redshirt freshmen and one true freshman.

• Twenty-one student-athletes have logged their first action as Commodores through six games of the 2019 season: Neal, Watkins, Williams, Ben Bresnahan (R-Fr., TE), Keyon Brooks (Fr., RB), Camden Coleman (R-Fr., S), Pierson Cooke (So., K), Daevion Davis (Fr., DT), Tre Douglas (R-Fr., CB), Rowan Godwin (Gr., OL), Justin Harris (Fr., S), Brandon Maddox (Jr., DT), Jaylen Mahoney (Fr., CB), Salua Masina (R-Fr., LB), Elijah McAlister (R-Fr., OLB), Scott Meyer (Gr., LS), Anferee Orji (Fr., S), Leshawn Paulino-Bell (R-So., OLB), Mitchell Pryor (So., RB), Javan Rice (R-Fr., K) and Justice Shelton-Mosley (Gr., WR/PR).

• Of Vanderbilt’s top 15 tacklers, only three — Tae Daley (S), Dimitri Moore (LB) and Dayo Odeyingbo (DL) — started at least six games a year ago.

• Dimitri Moore (R-So., ILB) topped the Commodores with 12 tackles (five solo) and a tackle for loss against UNLV. Moore’s tackle total marked a single-game high. He now leads the Commodore defense with 40 tackles. Brendon Harris (R-Fr., S) established new career highs with nine total tackles and seven unassisted stops against UNLV. Cameron Tidd (R-Jr., DL) and Andre Mintze (R-Jr., OLB) each posted career highs with seven and six tackles, respectively, against UNLV.

• Kickers Ryley Guay (Sr.) and Javan Rice (R-Fr.) have been nearly perfect hitting through the uprights this season, converting on eight of nine field goal attempts and all 10 extra point attempts.

• Linebacker Caleb Peart is the only senior among Vanderbilt’s top dozen tacklers.

• Vanderbilt’s early-season schedule was one of the nation’s most difficult. In September, the Dores were the only team in the nation to have faced two top-5 opponents in No. 3 Georgia and No. 4 LSU.
