Three All-Americans on Day 1

Sarah Omoregie led the Dores with a seventh-place finish in the shot put

EUGENE, Ore. – Vanderbilt track and field went three-for-three on Thursday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with all three Dores competing earning All-America honors.

For the third time this weekend, now second-team All-American Lena Gooden reset the school record in the long jump. She registered a top mark of 6.22 meters (20-5) to place 16th, also setting a new personal best.

Sarah Omoregie recorded a top throw of 17.35 meters (56-11.25) in the shot put to place seventh overall, receiving first-team All-America honors for the first time in her career. In the same event, Fraley was a second-team selection, placing 16th with a throw of 16.44 meters (53-11.25).

Action continues Saturday when Fraley competes in the discus final at 4:05 p.m. CT. The event will be streamed on ESPN+, and live results are available online.
