Vanderbilt senior Theo Humphrey was named the SEC Co-Golfer of the Week by the league office in Birmingham, Ala. after capturing his first collegiate title last weekend at the Schenkel Invitational. The honor is the first of his career and the first by a Commodore this season.

Humphrey posted a 13-under par, 203 to win the tournament by two shots to win the individual title at the Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga. For the season, Humphrey leads Vanderbilt in stroke average with 69.73 strokes per round, has claimed five top-10 finishes and three top-five finishes, and has not finished worse than 18th in any of the season’s eight tournaments. The Vanderbilt senior shared the award with Lee Hodges of Alabama.

Humphrey and his Commodore teammates return to the course April 13-15 at their own Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.
