STUDENT TICKET DISTRIBUTION POLICY
1.0 Online Student Ticket Distribution
1.1 Students can request tickets online here for regular season home football games.
1.1.1 Students will be able to log into the ticketing account using their Vanderbilt email address and a password.
1.1.1.1 Students who cannot remember their passwords or who have never signed into their account can request a new password or code once the email has been entered online.
1.2 Currently enrolled students are eligible to receive ONLY one (1) free student ticket to each home football game. Please be advised that the Vanderbilt Ticket Office will be monitoring accounts.
1.3 Once logged into their student ticketing account students will be able to (a) manage their account information, (b) claim a student ticket, (c) purchase a guest ticket, if available (see 3.0 for more details), (d) return a ticket, and (e) transfer a claimed student ticket to another Vanderbilt student (see 4.0 for more details).
1.4 The claim process for home football games will take place on Monday of game week at 6 p.m. and will be open until all tickets have been claimed. Once all tickets have been claimed sold out verbiage will go up and once students start to return tickets that verbiage will go down.
1.4.1 Students who claim a ticket but later decide not to attend the game for whatever reason should return their ticket online no later than the Friday before the game.
1.4.2 New in 2026-27: Students will also have the opportunity to transfer their student ticket to other Vanderbilt students if they are no longer able to attend the game. Please be advised that students can only transfer to other Vanderbilt students with their Vanderbilt email (see 4.0 for more details).
2.0 Student Admission to Football Home Games
2.1 Basic Requirements: admission to all football home games requires that students present their valid student ticket and Vanderbilt student ID.
2.1.1 Students cannot buy or sell student tickets to other students, non-students or any other person.
2.1.1.1 In the event that a student ticket is duplicated, only the first ticket scanned at the student gate will be admitted – all duplicated tickets will be denied admission. Therefore, it is in the students’ own interest not to duplicate their tickets. Please be advised that the Vanderbilt Ticket Office will be monitoring accounts.
2.1.1.2 Students cannot possess more than one (1) student ticket.
2.1.1.2.1 If a student has more than one (1) student ticket in their account, Vanderbilt has the right to void all tickets in that account.
2.1.1.3 Students found responsible for violations of the student ticket distribution policy, face the loss of student ticketing privileges and other penalties.
2.2 All student seating sections are general admission seating. This enables students to sit with friends.
3.0 Student Guest Tickets
3.1 Students may purchase one (1) guest ticket each, IF tickets remain available when the claim period begins.
3.1.1 Guest tickets will ONLY be available for select games and those games will have a limited number of tickets available.
3.1.2 Guest tickets are general admission seats within the student section.
3.1.3 Student guest tickets are non-refundable.
3.1.4 Guest tickets cannot be transferred to non-Vanderbilt students. If a non-Vanderbilt student is attending the game with you, they must enter the stadium with you.
4.0 New in the 2026-27, Athletics is piloting the ability for Vanderbilt students to transfer their tickets to other Vanderbilt students. The pilot will be evaluated throughout the year and will determine if this policy remains in effect for future years based on compliance by students with the policy.
4.1 Transfers are only able to be shared with enrolled Vanderbilt students, via their Vanderbilt email.
4.2 Students are not allowed to charge other students for transfer. Tickets are claimed at $0 and therefore should be $0 when transferring to peers.
4.3 Students found to be charging cash payments or other similar exchanges for goods will lose future ticket privileges and other penalties.
5.0 Revisions of the student ticket distribution policy
