Sophia Giacalone joined the staff of Vanderbilt’s National Commodore Club in August 2026 as DAR coordinator and development administration for Commodore Athletics.

Prior to her arrival in Nashville, Giacalone served as a student recruiting assistant with Vanderbilt football, where she managed prospect communications, maintained recruiting data and records, and helped coordinate official visits for the program.

A native of White Lake, Michigan, Giacalone earned her bachelor’s degree in business systems and analytics from Belmont in 2025 and a master’s degree in marketing from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management in 2026. She was also the lead feature twirler for Vanderbilt’s Spirit of Gold Marching Band, performing at football games and university events for five years.
