Rena Curvey

Rena Curvey joined Vanderbilt Athletics in 2025 and serves as a sport psychologist. She is a licensed psychologist and a certified mental performance consultant.

The Boston, Massachusetts, native previously worked in the Auburn counseling center as a senior staff clinician after completing a predoctoral internship in Auburn’s sport psychology track. Curvey, a former NCAA Division I student-athlete, worked for eight years as an assistant coach at Kentucky.

Curvey earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science, master’s of science in kinesiology and health promotion and counseling psychology, and Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Kentucky.
