Kristyn Eckl was named assistant athletic director of business reporting and operations at Vanderbilt in June 2024.

She worked at Texas A&M for the previous two years, first as business coordinator of internal operations before earning a promotion to assistant manager of internal operations. Eckl has also served two years as a graduate assistant in the business office and one as an intern—working with academic services, compliance and student-athlete development—at Kent State.

Eckl is a 2020 graduate of Kent State with a degree in sport administration and minors in business and marketing, and she added a master’s of business administration degree with a concentration in business analytics from the school in 2022. After competing as a student-athlete for the Golden Flashes softball team, she has participated in the NCAA Career in Sports Forum, Mid-American Conference Transformative Leadership Program, NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar and the Women Leaders in College Sports national convention.
