Jacob Bell

Jacob Bell began as associate director of communications at Vanderbilt in October 2023. He works directly with the Commodore men’s basketball and women’s golf programs.

Bell was previously assistant director for strategic communications at Missouri, where he oversaw the communication efforts for baseball and assisted with coverage of the Tigers’ football program. Prior to joining Mizzou, Bell spent three years at Virginia, and he was also at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi—including serving as assistant athletic director for communications his final year—after beginning his career at Longwood.

A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Bell earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in history at Auburn. He and his wife, Mary Katherine, reside in Murfreesboro along with their aussiedoodle, Maddux, and cat, Theodore.
