2012-13:Brad Frederick is in his 14th campaign at Vanderbilt after joining Kevin Stallings[apos] first Commodore coaching staff in 2000. Frederick[apos]s responsibilities with the Commodores have run the gamut in his 13 years in Nashville, and now include recruiting, scheduling, and scouting. Frederick is the dean of assistant coaches in the SEC.

Frederick has helped push the Commodores to new heights in his tenure – Vanderbilt has been to five of the last six NCAA Tournaments and six in all since 2000. The Commodores have been two two Sweet 16[apos]s and won the 2012 SEC Tournament Championship, the first SEC tournament title in 60 years. He also helped propel three Vanderbilt players to the NBA in 2012 (Festus Ezeli, John Jenkins, Jeffery Taylor), and has coached 10 All-SEC performers and three SEC Players of the Year.

Prior to his arrival at Vanderbilt, Frederick played three seasons as a reserve forward at North Carolina, including the final season of legendary coach Dean Smith[apos]s career and the two-year coaching tenure of Bill Guthridge.

As a Tar Heel, Frederick was part of two Final Four teams and two ACC Championship teams. He was the recipient of the team[apos]s Rick Sharp Award, which goes to the player who contributes the most behind the scenes. As a senior at UNC, Frederick also served as an assistant coach for the North Carolina junior varsity program under former Tar Heel great Phil Ford.

Frederick won the Athletic Director[apos]s Scholar-Athlete award twice during his junior and senior year and graduated with honors in political science and history.

Frederick, 36, is married to Jocelyn Isenburg of Longmeadow, Mass. They are the proud parents of Benjamin Robert (4), and Carson Avery (2).
