Alison Wenzel
Associate Athletic Director • Director (Ingram Center for Student-Athlete Success)
Alison Wenzel currently serves as the associate athletic director, director of the Ingram Center for Student-Athlete Success and sport administrator for the soccer and swimming programs.
Wenzel provides programming for Vanderbilt’s student-athletes that will prepare them for life after Vanderbilt. She oversees all career development, personal development and community outreach initiatives for the student-athletes. Wenzel spearheads the department’s summer internship program, “I Am More Than a Student-Athlete” initiative and international service trips with Soles4Souls.
Wenzel joined Vanderbilt Athletics in 2004 as an intern in the marketing department and transitioned into the role of life skills coordinator in 2006.
A native of Fleming Island, Florida, Wenzel earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida.
Wenzel and her husband, Justin, an athletic trainer at Vanderbilt, have two children, Calla and Casey, and pets Charly the dog and Sam the cat. She also enjoys traveling, reading a good book, supporting her children in all their extracurricular activities, and cheering on the Commodores.
