Kate Myles joined the Vanderbilt communications staff as an associate director in May 2026. She serves as the primary communications contact for the volleyball, cross country, track & field and bowling programs.
Myles comes to Vanderbilt from Southern Miss, where she spent two years as an athletic communications graduate assistant while earning her master's degree in sport management. Serving as the primary contact for women's volleyball, men's tennis, women's cross country and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field, she handled communications efforts for multiple Golden Eagle programs. During her time in Hattiesburg, Myles helped promote a historic 2025 season for Southern Miss volleyball, which advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Sun Belt Volleyball Championship and set attendance records twice during the season.
Prior to joining Southern Miss, Myles served as a sports information student assistant at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor while also competing for the Crusaders' volleyball program for three seasons. She assisted with NCAA postseason operations, including UMHB's hosting of the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament. As a student-athlete, Myles was a member of the 2020-21 Crusaders' volleyball team that captured the American Southwest Conference Championship.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Myles earned her bachelor's degree in marketing and mass communications from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in May 2024. She also completed a graduate certificate in sport security management from Southern Miss.
