Bio

Coach Nelson on Carly Hendrickson… Carly is a versatile pin attacker whose experience at the highest level of collegiate volleyball will be invaluable for our young program. She competes hard, has a point-scoring arm, is a physical blocker and has a serve that gives passers problems. Our paths crossed years ago during her high school recruitment process, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to coach her as she chases the graduate degree of her dreams in Nashville, where her family calls home.

The Hendrickson File

Why Vanderbilt?
“I chose Vanderbilt because it offers the perfect balance of academics, athletics and culture. Getting to continue my education at Peabody is a dream come true and competing in the SEC is something that I am very excited to come back to. I have so much respect for Anders and his staff and the vision they are building for Vanderbilt volleyball. Being close to home and joining a school my family has always supported made Vanderbilt the perfect place to spend my last year.”
