Coach Nelson on Mia Soerensen… The first thing we noticed about Mia’s game was the size of her block. We have no doubt she’ll play a role in slowing down the SEC’s best outsides. Offensively, we’re excited to get creative with her being a lefty and having the contact point she does. She fit in immediately during our foreign trip and her love for volleyball is apparent.

Why Vanderbilt?
“I chose Vanderbilt because I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself. Building a volleyball program from the ground up is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and the chance to help set the standard alongside my teammates motivates me every day. At the same time, Vanderbilt’s academic excellence will challenge me off the court and prepare me for what’s next.”
