The Fraley File
Veronica Fraley competed for Clemson from 2019 to 2021. She qualified for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, where she finished 10th overall (56.73m). In 2021, she advanced to the NCAA Championships in the shot put and discus, earning second-team All-America honors in the discus. At the 2021 ACC Indoor Championships, Fraley placed fourth in the shot put (16.00m), and she was sixth in the same event (15.72m) at the 2020 ACC Indoor Championships. At the 2022 outdoor conference championships, she was third in the shot put (16.46m) and fifth in the discus (54.95m). As a freshman in 2019, Fraley competed at the Pan American U20 Championships, representing Team USA on the international stage for the first time in her career. At the Pan American event, she finished first among Americans and fifth overall. That year, she also advanced to the NCAA East Regional in the discus.
