2018 Outdoor Season: Clayton put together solid campaign, including qualifying for her second consecutive outdoor NCAA regional competition… SEC Championships: Enjoyed her best meet of the outdoor season, earning a fourth-place finish in the 800 final with a time of 2:07.58… Posted a season-best time of 2:07.19 in SEC prelims… Penn Relays: Ran strong leg on 4×800-meter relay that produced 8:41.71 effort (No. 2 all-time)… War Eagle Invitational: Opened the outdoor campaign by finishing fourth in the 800 with a 2:09.50 clocking.

2018 Indoor Season: Clayton’s indoor campaign ended prematurely due to injury… Vanderbilt Invitational: Continued to focus on the mile, narrowly missing her indoor collegiate best with a 4:48.13, good for fourth place overall… Commodore Invitational:Finished third in the mile with a time of 4:50.24 and ran split on 4×400-meter relay foursome.

2017 Outdoor Season: NCAA Championships: Ran the third-fastest time in qualifying rounds to earn First Team All-American honors and a spot in the finals, where she placed seventh overall with a new PR and VU record time of 2:04.02… NCAA Regionals: Ran the 800-meter finals at a 2:04.15 clip to place in the top three of her heat and earn automatic qualification to the NCAA Championships… SECÂ
Championships: 
Took home the bronze and earned All-SEC Second Team honors in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:04.12… SEC Relays: Competed in the 4×400 and sprint medley relays and finished with times of 3:51.97 and 3:50.46, respectively… Virginia Challenge: Took fifth place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.07… Tennessee Relays: Was a part of a VU record-setting effort for a second consecutive week as a member of the 4×800 relays team that finished with a time of 8:38.34, which was also good for a first place finish… Florida Relays: Helped set a new school record in the distance medley relay with a time of 11:34.58, which also placed second at the meet.

2017 Indoor Season: NCAA Championships: Finished 12th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:06.96, garnering Second Team All-American honors… SEC Championships: Ran a time of 2:07.60 in the semifinals, which qualified for the finals section, but she was unable to compete in the finals due to an injury… Music City Challenge: Set a school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:04.24, which was good for a third place finish… Meyo Invitational: Placed third with an 800-meter time of 2:07.19… Commodore Invitational: Placed fifth in the mile run with a time of 4:47.67, which ranks seventh all-time in Vanderbilt’s history… Vanderbilt Indoor Opener: Took home first place in the mile run with a time of 4:51.57.

2016 Outdoor Season: SEC Championships: Finished fourth in the 800 at 2:07.78… Jace LaCoste Invitational: Captured first place in the 800 with a time of 2:06.96… Virginia Challenge: Finished eighth in the 800 with a time of 2:08.18 and helped the 4x400m relay team to a 10th place finish with a time of 3:44.52… Auburn Invitational: Took 11th in the 800 at 2:10.04 and finished third as a part of the 4x400m relay team with a time of 3:40.68 ranking No.8 on VU’s all-time list… Florida Relays: Part of the 4x400m relay team that finished sixth with a season best time in prelims at 3:39.84 ranking No. 7 on VU’s all-time list; Took sixth as part of the 1600 Sprint Medley team with a time of 3:55.62.Â

2016 Indoor Season: Indoor Opener: Took third place in the mile at 4:58.78 and was a member of the 4×4 team that took third place with a time of 3:52.15… Missed rest of indoor season due to injury.Â

2015 Outdoor Season: NCAA East Regional: Endured some tough luck in the 800 when she got tangled up with another competitor early in the race and fell down, which resulted in a time of 2:13.10; Was also a member of the 4×400 relay team that finished 20th with a time of 3:35.97… SEC Championships Set a new school record in the 800 with a time of 2:05.52 in the prelims and took sixth in the finals with a time of 2:06.62 to earn three points for the Commodores; Was also a member of the 4×400 relay team that set a new school record with a time of 3:34.74 while taking fifth place and earning four points for VU… Duke Twilight: Took sixth in the 800 at 2:10.31; Finished eighth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.38…Tennessee Challenge Took first place and set a new PR in the 1500 with a time of 4:30.82…Virginia Challenge: Took sixth place in the 800 with a PR-tying time of 2:07.05, representing the No. 3 mark on the school’s all-time list; Was also a member of the 4×400 relay team that took second place with a time of 3:36.84… Hurricane Alumni Invitational: Took eighth place in the 400 with a personal-best time of 55.49, which ranked No. 7 on VU’s all-time list; Was also a member of the 4×400 relay team that set a new school record with a time of 3:34.98. The mark ranked No. 8 on the national list at the time, and easily surpassed the previous VU record of 3:36.13, which had been the benchmark since 1998… Alabama Relays:Was a member of VU’s sprint medley team that took second place with a time of 3:39.65.Â

2015 Indoor Season: SEC Championships: Set a new school record while finishing fifth in the 800 finals with a time of 2:05.26; Won her heat in the 800 prelims with a time of 2:07.58; Was a member of VU’s 4×4 relay team that took sixth place with a time of 3:39.39… Tyson Invitational:Set a new PR in the 400 and notched the No. 7 mark on VU’s all-time list with a time of 55.85, and was a member of the 4×400 relay team that posted a time of 3:37.95, representing the second-best time on Vanderbilt’s all-time list and the best since 1998… Meyo Invitational: Set a new Vanderbilt record in the 800 with a time of 2:05.71 and finished in fourth place; was also a member of Vanderbilt’s 4×400 relay team that took fifth place and set the No. 5 mark on VU’s all-time list with a time of 3:41.57… Vanderbilt Invitational: Finished eighth in the 400 with a time of 56.24… Commodore Invitational: Captured first place in the mile run with a time of 4:53.94 and was a member of the 4×400 relay team that posted a first-place time of 3:38.98 to set the No. 3 mark on VU’s all-time.Â

2014 Outdoor Season: Missed much of the outdoor campaign due to injury… Prior to injury, ran 56.61 400 meters at the Black & Gold meet and 2:10.46 800 meters at Florida Relays.Â

2014 Indoor Season: Produced a terrific freshman season that included earning a spot on the SEC’s All-Freshman Team and posting the second-best time on VU’s all-time performance list in the 800 (2:07.60), the third-best mark on VU’s all-time list in the 500 (1:16.80) and third-best mark on the program’s all-time list in the 1000-meter run (2:55.06)… Posted a time of 2:07.96 in the 800 and took seventh at the SEC Championships… Was a member of VU’s 4×400 team that posted a time of 3.40.25 — the third-best time in Vanderbilt history and the program’s best mark since 1998 — at the Tyson Invitational… Finished in fourth place in the 800 with a time of 2:08.13 at the Tyson Invitational… Took second place in the 800 with a time of 2:07.60, which was a personal best and the second-best time on VU’s all-time performance list, at the New Balance Invitational… Earned third place in the 800 with a time of 2:09.51 at the Vanderbilt Invitational… Took first place in the 800-meter run, finishing in a time of 2:11.07, at the Auburn Indoor Invitational… Finished fifth in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:16.80 at the UAB Invitational… Finished second in the 1000 meters in a time of 2:55.06 at the Music City Challenge.

High School: Ran at Hononegah High, where she was the two-time class 3A Illinois state champion in the 800M… Broke a 29-year-old Illinois state record in 2013 in the 800 meters… Ranked sixth nationally in the 800M during the 2013 outdoor season… Finished fifth in the 400M at the Illinois State Meet in 2013… Named the Northern Illinois Conference All Sports Female Athlete of the Year in 2012 and 2013… Finished second at the state meet in the 800M in 2011… Holds the Hononegah school record in the 800M, 1600M, 3200M, 4x400M relay, 4x800M relay and three-mile XC… Served as the track & field team captain in 2012 and 2013 and cross country captain in 2012.Â

Personal: Raised in small community an hour northwest of Chicago… Daughter of Michael and Tammy Clayton… Has one sister, Savana.Â
