Mallory Hitt Season 2008-09

2009: In multi-event competitions, Hitt finished 15th in pentathlon at the SEC indoor meet… Competed in the 100 and 200 meter dash contests at the Mississippi Open with times of 13.3 and 26.35, respectively… Ran the 800 meter race at the War Eagle Invitational, recording a time of 2:29.1… Had fastest 100 meter hurdle finish at the SEC Outdoor Championships.

2008: Registered sub-par performances in multi-event competitions at both SEC Indoor and Outdoor Championships, but established a career best in heptathlon midway through outdoor campaign and three other individual event bests during promising season… Provided team points at SEC Outdoor Championships with 5[apos]5′ clearance in open high jump, good for sixth place… Competing at LSU Tiger Invitational, accumulated personal best total of 4,560 points in third place heptathlon result… Effort at LSU included season best in the long jump (17[apos]11′) and 200 meters (25.77)… Also high jumped 5[apos]5′ at Vanderbilt Invitational.

2007: Promising year ended prematurely due to arm injury… Prior to injury, accumulated 4373 points in heptathlon at Alabama Relays… Narrowly missed scoring team points at SEC Indoor Championships with 10th place finish in pentathlon with 3181-point total… Posted indoor long jump PR of 17[apos]9.75′ at Tiger Invitational.

In High School: Senior captain… Captured high jump at Louisiana State Meet as senior after second-place finish one year earlier… Four-time state meet qualifier in 100 and 200 meters, high jump and 4×400-meter relay… Holds school records at 100 (11.9), 200 (24.5) and high jump (5[apos]7′)… Four-time track MVP… Twice named School[apos]s Overall MVP female student-athlete.. All-district contributor in soccer… Earned school[apos]s Ursula Harelson Award for senior scholar-athletes.

Academics: Hitt is working toward a degree in Medicine, Health & Society from the College of Arts and Science.
