2006: Put together one of the finest seasons ever by Commodore track and field athlete, setting numerous personal records while becoming just the fifth individual Southeastern Conference champion… Capped remarkable outdoor season by winning the SEC heptathlon, accumulating 5,321 points, and bettering her career best three weeks later with 5,417 points at the NCAA Outdoor Championships… Narrowly missed All-America honors with 10th place NCAA finish… Holloway tied or established personal bests in all seven heptathlon events at the SEC and NCAA meets… Her 5,417-point total ranks second all-time among Commodores, trailing former All-American Josie Hahn… NCAA career-best effort was highlighted by PRs in the 100-meter hurdles (14.82), high jump (5[apos]4.25′), long jump (19[apos]0′), shot put (39[apos]4.5′) and 800-meter run (2:21.76)… Used excellent second day results to surpass three leaders en route to SEC heptathlon individual victory… SEC effort included 130[apos]5′ javelin toss, a career best and No. 4 all-time by Commodore, and 24.71 PR in 200 meters, also No. 4 all-time on team… Showed signs of promising SEC meet with 5,239-point heptathlon accumulation that included 19[apos]0′ personal best in long jump and 125[apos]7′ javelin toss… Her best long jump also ranks No. 4 all-time… Holloway also helped Vanderbilt secure other points at the SEC meet, running a 54.2 leg on the 4×400-meter foursome that finished seventh at the championships… Holloway also competed in the SEC javelin, but did not make the finals… School record established came as part of 4×200-meter relay unit that ran 1:40.26 at Sea Ray Relays… Holloway concluded the indoor campaign with an eighth place finish in the SEC pentatlon… While eclipsing a career best by more than 300 points, Holloway set personal bests in the 55-meter hurdles (8.52), high jump (5[apos]4.25′), shot put (36[apos]11′) and 800-meter run (2:27.56)… Holloway[apos]s SEC pentathlon total of 3,703 points ranks No. 2 all-time among Commodores… Also ran several legs on indoor 4×400-meter relay units.

2005: Capped quality outdoor campaign with seventh place finish in heptathlon at SEC Championships… Her PR point total (4,920) ranks fourth all-time among Commodores… SEC heptathlon performance included PRs in javelin (120[apos]0′, No. 5 all-time on team), 200-meter dash (25.30, No. 10 all-time), shot put (35[apos]5.75′) and high jump (5[apos]3′)… Achieved the team[apos]s No. 6 all-time long jump (18[apos]6′) at Tennessee State meet… Also ran outdoor legs of 4×100 and 4×400-meter relay foursomes… Finished 12th in pentathlon at SEC Indoor Championships with 3,426-point total… That effort included 17[apos]8.25′ long jump, 34[apos]5.5′ indoor PR in shot put and 2:28.58 indoor PR at 800 meters.

2004: Versatile athlete who finished season with solid showing at SEC Championships… Earned all-league honors with surprising eighth place finish in heptathlon… Ranks fourth all-time on Commodore heptathlon list after 4,712-point effort at conference meet… Set season PRs in 200 (25.50), 100-meter hurdles (15.66), javelin (104[apos]4′) and 800 meters (2:27.2) in SEC heptathlon… Also competed outdoors as member of 4×100-meter relay team… Finished 12th in SEC indoor pentathlon competition with 3,510-point total (No. 2 all-time on team)… Set collegiate best of 17[apos]11′ in long jump during SEC heptathlon… Also ran 56.4 leg on 4×400-meter relay foursome at SEC indoor meet.

2003: Fought through illness much of season… Redshirted both indoor and outdoor season… Competed twice in unattached role, running 58.41 in 400 meters at Vanderbilt Invitational and 59.33 (also at 400 meters) at Tennessee State Invitational.

In High School: Holds 400-meter school record of 57.6… Also participated at Tennessee State Meet in pentathlon, LJ, TJ, and 100 meters… In addition to 400, PRs include 25.7 (200) and 18[apos]0′ (long jump)… Earned All-American status following seventh place finish at AAU Nationals… Received team[apos]s top sprinting award… Graduated with honors.

Academics: Holloway is scheduled to earn a degree this May in sociology from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Personal: Garnetta Quaye Holloway… Daughter of Edgar Holloway and Alfreada Holloway… Born Nov. 20, 1983… Known as ‘Garnett’… Family also lived in Saudi Arabia and Alaska… Earned Thespian Award as senior… Named prom queen as prep senior.
