Mollie Malone joined Vanderbilt Athletics in 1992 and serves as assistant director of athletic training services while working with the men’s and women’s golf teams.

The Biloxi, Mississippi, native has worked with the Commodores since she was a graduate student, having assisted with the soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, lacrosse, track and field, and football teams.

Malone earned her undergraduate degree in physical education and sports injury management at South Alabama and her graduate degree in health promotions and education from Vanderbilt.

Malone and her husband, Michael Smitherman, have two children, Mia and Mason.
