JT Orem was introduced as Vanderbilt women’s basketball’s video coordinator in May of 2024. The 2026-27 season will be his third season with the Commodores.

Orem has four seasons of experience at the SEC level in a video coordinator position. During his time at Vanderbilt, the Commodores went to the NCAA Tournament in every season. Vandy advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2008-09 in his second season with the program in 2025-26.

“His experience working in the SEC and with the high-level athletes of our league, he grew up in a basketball family and has tremendous respect for our sport and the women who play our game," said Ralph. "Through our conversations, he has demonstrated that no task will be too big or too small. We are glad to have his strong work ethic on our staff.”

Prior to his time at Vanderbilt, Orem was a women’s basketball graduate assistant at Kentucky for the 2023-24 season. During his time in Lexington, Orem was in charge of student managers, practice players, equipment and assisted with scouting and film breakdown for both men’s and women’s basketball.

Orem graduated from Kentucky with a master’s degree in marketing (’24) and a bachelor’s degree in Sports Communication (’23). He was a student manager for the Wildcats during his time as an undergraduate student from 2019-2023.
