The Metcalf File
Philip Metcalf prepped at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy under head coach Jon Curtis Croston. He was named to the All-Cen-Tex cross country team twice and was a member of the THSCA Academic All-State track team. As a senior in 2021, he placed fifth in the 3,200 meters at the state championships. Outside of running, Metcalf was a member of the National Honor Society and president of the LASA marching bands.
Personal
Philip, born in Chicago, Illinois to Mary Beth and Eric Metcalf, has two siblings, Suzanna and Isaac. His mother ran on the cross country and track and field teams at Canisus College.
