SEC To Announce Television Status of Vanderbilt-Tennessee Game on Tuesday

Birmingham, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference delayed an announcement Monday regarding the television status of the upcoming Tennessee at Vanderbilt football game.

SEC officials, in announcing three other television games involving league members, said a decision would be forthcoming Tuesday.

The Tennessee-Vanderbilt game, scheduled Saturday, November 20 in Nashville, is one of three games being considering for two potential television slots – Jefferson-Pilot Sports and ESPN2.

If the UT-VU game airs as the Jefferson-Pilot Game of the Week, it would start at 11:30 a.m., CT. If ESPN2 selects the game, the  Volunteers and Commodores would play at night, with kickoff as either 6:00 CT or 8:00 CT.

Besides the UT-VU game, Jefferson-Pilot and ESPN2 are also considering Ole Miss at LSU and Mississippi State at Arkansas.

The following football games involving league teams will be televised on Nov. 20, according to the SEC announcement:
        ? South Carolina at Clemson, Jefferson-Pilot (As part of ACC package) — 11 a.m. CT
        ? Auburn at Alabama, CBS Sports — 2:30 p.m. CT
        ? Florida at Florida State, ESPN (ACC contracted game) — 6:45 p.m. CT
