The Ming File
Milan (Mimi) Ming was a four-year letterwinner at Atlanta Girls’ School under head coach Stacy Floyd where she recorded prep-best times of 12.10 in the 100 meters, 24.32 in the 200 meters and 54.10 in the 400 meters. A two-time All-American, Ming was the 2019 AAU National Junior Olympics champion in the 400 meters and the 2019 AAU Club National runner-up. She is a three-time state champion and a nine-time conference champion in the 100, 200 and 400 meters. Ming has been a finalist at the 2019 New Balance Nationals Outdoor Championships, 2019 New Balance National Indoor Emerging Elite, 2018 New Balance Nationals Outdoor Emerging Elite, 2018 USATF National Junior Olympics and 2017 AAU National Junior Olympics. When she graduated high school, she was the state record holder in the 200 and 400 meters. She set the state 400-meter record when she won the 2018 state title in the event. Academically, Ming was a member of the dean’s list and honor roll.
Personal
Mimi is the daughter of Tiffany Maddox-Ming and Donte Ming. She has an older brother named Neico. She is an extreme Disney World enthusiast and once spent 17 days in a cloud forest in Ecuador during high school.
