The Meeks File
Giavonna Meeks prepped at Northfield and was a letterwinner in basketball and track and field. Her 2022 prep accolades include Northfield girls track and field team all-league champion, Denver Public Schools Female Track Athlete of the Year, Northfield High School Female Athlete of the Year, Nike indoor national champion in the weight throw and Nike outdoor national champion in the hammer throw. In 2021 and 2022, Meeks was named Denver Public Schools first-team all-conference. She earned second-team all-conference selection in 2020. Her prep-best marks include 57.39 meters in the hammer throw, 18.53 meters in the weight throw, 50.39 meters in the discus and 14.40 meters in the shot put. All throughout high school, she maintained academic honor roll status while playing multiple sports.

Personal
Giavonna’s parents’ names are Robert and Fernon, and her brother’s name is Jacob. She has a few famous family members: Robert Meeks, her father, Za’Darius Smith and Davern Williams. Her father, Robert, played football at Auburn and in the NFL for the Denver Broncos.
