Road Tests Continue

Vanderbilt track and field continues its stretch of road meets at Florida Relays and Raleigh Relays

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt track and field returns to competition Friday, taking a week off after its outdoor season opener in Tampa. The Commodores will head to two meets, Florida Relays and Raleigh Relays.

Caroline Eck and Julia Rosenberg will represent the Dores in Raleigh Friday. Their events begin at 7:59 p.m. CT, and live results of their races can be found online.

The rest of the Vanderbilt track and field team will head back to the Sunshine State for two days of competition at Florida Relays. Action kicks off in Gainesville Friday at 11 a.m. CT with the 4×800-meter relay. Live results are available via Delta Timing. Events will be streamed Saturday beginning at 11:05 a.m. CT on SEC Network+.

Team notes
– Lena Gooden is now third all-time at Vanderbilt in the 100 meters. She was 10th in the event at the USF Alumni Invitational with a time of 11.76 seconds.
– Sarah Omoregie (16.59 meters) and Kosi Umerah (13.74 meters) recorded the No. 3 and No. 9 all-time shot put marks in school history in Tampa.
– Omoregie is third in the SEC, 10th in the NCAA in the shot put at this point in the season.
– Out of 65 runners, Cameron Fawcett came in 15th in the 1,500 meters in Tampa. At this point in the season, she is 15th in the SEC in the event with a time of 4:33.73.
– Haley Bishop was 12th in the 100 meters at USF with a time of 11.82 seconds. At the same meet, she clocked a season best 24.57-second time in the 200 meters.
– In the javelin, Madison Murray placed fifth with a 38.05-meter throw.
