  • Kentucky won the coin toss and elected to defer. Bradley Ashmore, Justin Ball, and Jaylen Mahoney represented the Commodores for the coin toss
  • Vanderbilt’s offense surpassed the 300-yard mark for the fourth consecutive game, finishing with 328 yards Saturday
  • In recognition of Gold Star Family Day on Sept. 24, Vanderbilt football hosted Gold Star Families at today’s game – families of military members who have died while on active duty. Each Vanderbilt player carried the name of a fallen service member on their jersey so that they may never be forgotten
  • Attendance at FirstBank Stadium was 26,279

  • John Howse IV grabbed the first interception of his career at the midway point of the first quarter
  • Senior Will Sheppard grabbed his 132nd career catch, placing him tied for tenth overall on Vanderbilt’s all-time receiving list along with Martin Cox
  • Freshman Sedrick Alexander registered his third career touchdown off a 7-yard carry before the halftime break. Alexander finished with eight rushes for 37 yards
  • Marlen Sewell, in his first collegiate start, finished with a career-best and team-high nine tackles
  • Jeffery Ugochukwu tallied his first interception of the season and the seventh for the team. This marked the second game this season Vanderbilt had two interceptions in a single game (8.26.23 vs. Hawai’i)
  • Junior Gamarion Carter finished with two catches for 48 yards, marking a season-high receiving yards.
  • Patrick Smith had 12 carries for 38 yards and one touchdown
  • Kamrean Johnson hauled in a 10-yard touchdown reception from Ken Seals for his second touchdown of the season
  • Quarterback AJ Swann and Ken Seals completed 20-of-47 for 231 yards and one touchdown
