TEAM NOTES

  • Florida won the coin toss and elected to defer. Bradley Ashmore, Justin Ball, Ethan Barr and Nate Clifton represented the Commodores for the coin toss
  • Vanderbilt’s offense hit the 300-yard mark for the fifth consecutive game, finishing with 334 yards Saturday
  • The defensive unit posted 83 tackles, including five for a loss of 20 yards. Vanderbilt’s 83 tackles mark the second most of the season (90 vs. Hawai’i)
  • The Commodores posted three sacks, marking the most in a single game this season
  • Attendance at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium was 89,432

 INDIVIDUAL NOTES

  • Will Sheppard opened the scoring for Vanderbilt, off an 85-yard completion from Ken Seals which ties for the fourth-longest completion in program history. This is also the longest reception since 1992 when Marcus Wilson found Clarence Sevillian for 88-yards against Tennessee
  • Sheppard finished with three catches for a season-high 107 receiving yards and a touchdown. This marks the first 100+ receiving game for Sheppard
  • Quarterback Ken Seals got his second consecutive start of the season (18th career), finishing 19-of-34 for 276 yards and two touchdowns. This is the second game this season Seals threw for 250+ yards (sixth career)
  • This is also the first time Seals threw two touchdowns in back-to-back games since 2020 (11.14.20 at Kentucky, 11.21.20 vs. Florida)
  • Freshman Junior Sherrill finished with a career-high 64 yards off two catches. Sherrill’s longest catch of the day was 52 yards, also a career-best
  • Richie Hoskins tallied his first career touchdown off a 21-yard pass from Seals in the third quarter. Hoskins finished with two catches for a career-best 48 yards
  • Savion Riley finished with 12 tackles, marking a career-best and the highest amount of tackles by an individual this season
  • Freshman Bryan Longwell posted a career-high seven tackles
  • CJ Taylor grabbed his first interception of the season (second career). Vandy’s defense has now grabbed eight interceptions this year
  • Aeneas DiCosmo registered his second sack of the season in the opening minutes of the second half
  • Nicholas Rinaldi tallied six tackles, a career-high in today’s game
