Vanderbilt improves to 3-3 against South Carolina in the SEC Tournament.Vanderbilt has eliminated South Carolina from the SEC Tournament for the first time in school history. Previously, South Carolina had the eliminated the Commodores twice, with the only other Vanderbilt loss coming in the 2004 SEC Tournament Championship game.Vanderbilt advances to Saturday for the fourth consecutive appearance.Vanderbilt 3B Pedro Alvarez hit his 8th homerun of the season.
