Three Dores recorded program all-time top-10 marks in the triple jump

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Commodores wrapped up their three-meet weekend on the track with a trio program all-time top-10 marks in the triple jump and a personal best Saturday at the Bobcat Invitational.

At the Bobcat Invitational, three Dores added marks to the school’s top-10 list in the triple jump. Anaya Webster registered a 11.99-meter mark, a collegiate best and ranked No. 5 in program history. Pryncess Jackson and Anya Carey recorded respective jumps of 11.95 and 11.51 meters, which are ranked sixth and seventh in Vanderbilt history.

In the 400 meters, Eva Gautreaux turned in a personal-best time of 55.69 seconds to place 15th. Ella Escobar clocked 56.63 seconds in the same event to notch a top-30 finish.

Highlights from the Dores’ first outdoor meets of the season include a top-15 finish in the 1,500 meters from Julia Rosenberg at Raleigh Relays, Falon Spearman’s finals qualification and eighth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at Texas Relays and Vandy’s 1-2-3 sweep of the 100-meter hurdles on Day 1 of the Bobcat Invitational.

Vanderbilt track and field continues its outdoor season at Florida Relays Friday and Saturday.
