Several Dores recorded collegiate and season bests

TAMPA, Fla. — Vanderbilt track and field kicked off its outdoor season Friday at the USF Bulls Alumni Invitational.

In the pole vault, freshman Olivia Kosanovich recorded a collegiate-best clearance of 3.45 meters.

Sarah Omoregie was the fourth-place finisher in the shot put, recording a 16.59-meter throw and the No. 3 all-time mark at Vanderbilt. In the same event, Sarah Marvin threw a season best 15.47 meters. Kosi Umerah added her name to the outdoor program all-time top 10 list, recording a 13.74-meter throw, which is ninth in Vanderbilt history.

Madison Murray was fifth in the javelin with a 38.50-meter mark.

On the track, Johna Grisik recorded a collegiate best 2:18.50 in the 800 meters, and Elsa Steer turned in a personal-best time of 2:17.40 in the event.

In the 200 meters, Haley Bishop turned in a season best 24.57-second time and Anaya Webster recorded a personal-best mark of 25.41 seconds.
