Notes from Orange Beach: Wednesday

Nov. 3, 2010

Games postponed Wednesday

With nearly two inches of rain over the past 24 hours, field conditions at the Orange Beach Sportsplex forced the cancellation of games on Wednesday. The SEC Tournament Quarterfinals will now be played tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 4), using the same schedule of times that was originally planned for Wednesday.

The Commodores will face Florida in their quarterfinal matchup at 5 p.m. CT.

Kinsella a first-team Academic All-District honoree

Another academic honor for Commodore standout Molly Kinsella. The senior forward from Memphis has been voted onto the CoSIDA ESPN Academic All-District IV First Team.

The first-team honor makes Molly eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America squad. That team will be announced on Thursday, Nov. 18.

Vote, vote, vote

Did you exercise your right to vote yesterday? Well, why not do it again today. Voting is still open for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award. Once leading, Molly Kinsella is now in third place in the national voting, which continues through Nov. 14.
