NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt Athletics and Vanderbilt Sports Properties announced Wednesday the hiring of Andrew Selover as the new voice of the Vanderbilt women’s basketball team.

Selover comes to the Music City after spending this past season as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Georgia Tech Sports Network. He also served as a television broadcaster for ACC Network Extra, where he covered women’s basketball games.

“It is a tremendous honor to join Vanderbilt women's basketball and represent Vanderbilt University," Selover said. “I'm excited to work with Coach Ralph and the women's basketball program to share the stories of a championship-caliber team and world-class student-athletes. Anchor Down!"

The new play-by-play voice of Vanderbilt women’s basketball spent the last two years with the Hub City Spartanburgers, the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Additionally, he called games for the Chatham Anglers in the Cape Cod Baseball League for two seasons.

Selover is a 2025 graduate of the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. As an undergraduate, he covered basketball, football and lacrosse for the Orange at WAER-FM and WJPZ-FM.

The Atlanta native has family ties to Vanderbilt, as his uncle Mike Morrissey played on the Commodore baseball team from 1989-92. Selover grew up making trips to Nashville to watch Commodore sporting events.

Commodore women’s basketball games can be heard locally on 94.9 The Fan and digitally on the Vanderbilt Athletics app throughout the 2026-27 season.

Vanderbilt Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield—the media and technology company powering college athletics—is the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Vanderbilt Athletics and oversees the radio broadcast relationship with Cromwell Media on behalf of the Commodores.

The 2026-27 Vanderbilt women's basketball season begins Nov. 2, as the Commodores host Lipscomb at Memorial Gymnasium for Education Day. Tipoff against the Bisons is set for 11 a.m. CT.
