BATON ROUGE, La. — Vanderbilt earned a 3-0 sweep against LSU (25-22,25-23, 25-16) Wednesday night at the Maravich Center, advancing to 10-2 on the year. The victory marks the best record in program history after surpassing the 2025 squad’s nine wins.
The Dores earned 20 additional kills over the Tigers to post a .241 hitting efficiency, fueled by Avery Scoggins’ 45 assists. Samantha Wunsch earned 15 kills, while outside hitters Reese Animashaun and Maya Witherspoon each punched in 13.
Defensively, the team posted a season-high 68 digs against the Tigers, led by Hailee Mack’s season-high 22 digs. Two Dores earned double-doubles with digs, Witherspoon adding 18 and Scoggins 13.
At the net, Wunsch earned five blocks while Rachel Ogunleye solidified three block assists and a solo block, holding LSU to a .157 hitting efficiency.
Vanderbilt heads back down south to play Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi on Sunday at 2 p.m. to close out the team’s trio of road matches.
