NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt graduate transfer Lyndon Cooper was named to the watch list for the Dave Rimington Trophy on Thursday morning.
It’s the second season in a row that the native of Atlanta has been included on the preseason list for the honor presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I college football.
Cooper joined the Commodores in the spring following two seasons at Pittsburgh after beginning his collegiate career at NC State. Last fall, Cooper started all 13 contests for the Panthers, registering over 900 snaps at center.
Cooper played his first two collegiate seasons at NC State. So far in his career, he has appeared in 39 games (30 starts) and played over 2,100 snaps.
