NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The ITA released the 2026-27 preseason individual rankings on Tuesday, with senior Valeria Ray leading the way for the Vanderbilt women's tennis team in singles at No. 14.

Overall, five Commodores are ranked - two in singles alongside two doubles pairs. Ray's No. 14 spot is a new career high, besting the No. 15 ranking she achieved on Feb. 19. Junior Artemis Aslanisvili, who joined Vanderbilt from Clemson this past offseason, also comes in at a personal best in singles at No. 106. It is just the second time in her career making the singles list after reaching No. 123 during the 2025 season.

In doubles, Ray sits alongside junior Sophia Webster as the No. 29 ranked duo. Both players finished last season in the doubles top 20. Rounding out the Dores in the rankings is the pairing of junior Trinetra Vijayakumar and sophomore Mia Yamakita at No. 83. Vijayakumar makes her first appearance in the ITA individual rankings.

12 SEC schools are represented in the overall rankings, with 51 athletes in singles and 31 doubles pairs.
